Biological method and its application progress

Biological method refers to a treatment method that gives full play to the metabolism of microorganisms, realizes the effective decomposition of organic pollutants contained in chemical wastewater, and successfully removes them.

Generally, there are two biological treatment methods for chemical wastewater, one is aerobic biological treatment method; The second is anaerobic biological treatment. The aerobic biological treatment method mainly includes biofilm method and activated sludge method. The former mainly realizes the effective adsorption and oxidation of organic matter through biofilm, and completes the wastewater treatment in the process of direct contact with chemical wastewater; The latter carries out wastewater treatment through suspended growth of microorganisms, and promotes the effective degradation of organic substances in wastewater with the help of microorganisms.

Some domestic studies have found that the application of aerobic biosorption method in the treatment of high concentration organic wastewater is significant, which can increase the COD removal rate in the wastewater to 99%. Anaerobic biological treatment method refers to a method to effectively remove pollutants contained in wastewater by virtue of the degradation of anaerobic microorganisms. Some foreign studies have found that 99.6% COD removal rate can be achieved by applying biological method in the wastewater treatment process of printing and dyeing industry, and the application effect is very significant.

At this stage, the chemical wastewater treatment process technology continues to develop and progress, and various new treatment process technologies are also beginning to emerge. Some chemical plants choose to use high-temperature incineration to oxidize and decompose high-concentration organic waste water, so that it can be successfully converted into water and carbon dioxide. This waste water treatment technology is conducive to reducing pollution, but its cost is very high, so it can not achieve large-scale promotion.

In addition, as a new method and technology in the treatment of chemical wastewater, the constructed wetland has the characteristics of low energy consumption, and can greatly reduce costs, and can play a certain role in the field of environmental science. Some foreign studies have found that the effective exposure treatment of brewery wastewater can be achieved through the method of constructed wetland, and the COD removal rate obtained can reach 60%, which is conducive to improving the nitrogen and PH value in the wastewater. In addition, there are also new process technologies such as earthworm treatment in the treatment of chemical wastewater. These new process technologies usually have outstanding characteristics, and they have also been tried to be applied in the treatment of actual chemical wastewater, which has become a major development trend of chemical wastewater treatment technology in the future.
